Panel Arrangement for the Provision of Motor Vehicle Damage Assessing Services for the Insurance Commission of Western Australia

Proposals are sought for the provision of both metropolitan and regional motor vehicle assessing services to the Insurance Commission.

This procurement is required for the selection of a panel to provide the following services:

• Motor Vehicle Damage Assessing

Qualified motor assessors are required to inspect and assess motor vehicles damaged as a result of motor vehicle crashes to ensure that the damage sustained is consistent with the reported circumstances, authorise repairs and provide an assessment report on each vehicle inspected. Repair authorisations and services delivered under this contract must comply with RiskCover’s Motor Vehicle Cover and Repair Approval Terms and Conditions (Schedule 2 of the Contract). To review repairer’s invoices to ensure the amounts charged are fair and reasonable and that the invoices are in accordance with the approved repairs, RiskCover repair rates/allowances and RiskCover Motor Vehicle Repair Approval Terms and Conditions. Motor Vehicles deemed to be a “total loss” are to be disposed by public auction (with the RiskCover approved disposal contractor) and/or tender and proceeds forwarded to the Insurance Commission. Department of Transport (DOT) Written-Off Vehicle Notification documentation is to be completed by the assessor/s and submitted to DOT on behalf of RiskCover.
