This Request is for the provision of a Safe at Home program (Safe at Home) in Kununurra and within approximately a one-hour radius of the local area.
The Department requires the Services of this Request to be delivered by an organisation that is an Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisation (ACCO) or a not-for-profit Aboriginal Registered Business (ARB). This requirement is in line with the Western Australian Government’s ACCO Strategy and Aboriginal Procurement Policy and the Department’s Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisation Strategy 2022-2032. To qualify for this Request, an ARB must be registered as an Aboriginal owned business, and an ACCO must provide evidence that they meet the criteria of an ACCO (refer Sections 7.1 and 7.2 of this document).
The aim of Safe at Home is to provide support for women, with or without accompanying children, who are experiencing family and domestic violence to stay in their home or a home of their choice, when it is safe to do so.
Safe at Home is offered as an alternative to crisis accommodation and is suited to victim-survivors in all styles of accommodation including public housing, private rental, or home ownership.
