Cairns Intensive Bail Initiative (Community Connector and Family Partnerships component)

The Department of Youth Justice is seeking quotes for the Community Connector and Family Partnerships components of Intensive Bail Initiative (IBI) in Cairns.

IBI holistically aims to address the complex causes of youth crime which is why the this program is comprised of three highly integrated components:

• Bail Support – provides case work and practical support to assist young people to comply with their bail conditions. NB: This service is currently delivered by a non-government organisation in Cairns, in partnership with the Department of Youth Justice, hence not subject to this Request for Quote.
• Community Connector – works in collaboration with Youth Co-Responder Teams (YCRTs) to follow up with young people displaying anti-social behaviours who have referred by YCRT and may be in need of support to reduce their risk of offending
• Family Partnership – provides family support through intensive case work to address the in-home risk factors that may be contributing to a young person’s offending.

• Family Partnership only OR
• both Community Connector and Family Partnership
