Supply of Animal Transport Gel Packs

Is for the supply of animal transport gel packs. Exact ingredients are not specified, but data sheet must be supplied with offer. Gel packs in sizes of between 75ml and 175 ml will be considered. Gel must be sterile and have a minimum shelf life of 12 months when delivered. Product must be sealed and be able to be submerged in 1% Virkon. Gel packs are normally designed to be stapled to the inside of a transport shipper. This is the preferred option, but other systems may be considered.The material the gel is contained in must be non-toxic to the animals and the sachet/container must be easily cut to allow animals to have access to the gel.The gel must be thick enough that once the sachet is cut the gel does not run out of the sachet/container.

Performance indicators

Outer packaging must be free of contamination by rodents 100% of the time.

Deliveries must be made within 30 days of an order being placed.

Pallets will be inspected on delivery. The contents of any damaged packaging will be considered non sterile and the contents will be replaced or credited by the supplier within 30 days.

Quantity

The annual volume is expected to be in the region of 2500-3000 litres. This is an estimate only and amounts will be determined at the sole discretion of ARC’s operational requirements. The successful Respondent will be required to meet the ARC’s demand.
