Description

The Department of Health and Ageing is seeking tenders from capable and experienced labour hire providers to form a panel of providers of non-ongoing employees and contract personnel.

The members of the Panel of Labour Hire Providers will assist the Department to meet employment needs for non-Senior Executive Service and non-IT temporary non-ongoing employees and contract personnel for up to 12 months employment in its Central Office in Canberra and State and Territory offices throughout Australia.

The Panel will provide services to the Department of Health and Ageing and other Portfolio Agencies in all States and Territories, the Department of Families, Housing, Community Services and Indigenous Affairs, and the National Archives of Australia.

The Panel may also be made available to other Commonwealth Departments and Agencies who wish to participate.

The majority of candidates will be required to work in Canberra, although personnel may be required for any of the Department’s other offices in every State and the Northern Territory. The Panel will include a range of organisations with experience with local labour markets and public sector recruitment.

The Department is seeking a wide range of public sector skills, including policy and program management, finance, project management, executive assistance and specialist skills e.g. medical officers and epidemiologists.

The Panel will operate for approximately three years from its establishment in November 2010 with options to extend for up to a further two years.
