Supply of School Uniforms and Specialty School Apparel

The Department of Education is seeking to establish a non-mandatory, State-wide panel arrangement of suitably qualified Contractors for the supply of school uniforms to public schools located in Western Australia. The purpose of this arrangement is to reduce the tendering and administration costs to industry and to Customers. The arrangement will be split into the following two categories:

• Category One – Supply of School Uniforms

This category will cover all items of clothing which comprise an everyday school uniform, including but not limited to shirts, jumpers, jackets, trousers, shorts, skirts, socks, hats and physical education class uniforms. Such items are typically purchased on a regular basis.

• Category Two – Supply of Specialty School Apparel

This category will cover all items of clothing which schools may purchase on an irregular basis and do not form part of the everyday school uniform. Examples include, but are not limited to sports teams’ uniforms, leavers jackets and shirts, and choir shirts.
