Description
A new facility is being established at the Department of Primary Industry and Regional Development (DPIRD) Katanning Research Facility to measure feed intake on animals in group pens. This facility requires up to 19 specialist livestock feeding units that incorporate a computerised and automated recording system that enables individual intakes to be measured under normal group conditions. DPIRD has developed and tested a prototype of the specialist livestock feeding unit to prove the concept is viable. This Request is for the manufacture, supply and delivery of up to 19 additional specialist livestock feeding units. A detailed specification is in Schedule 2 of the Request.
