Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital department of Medical Technology and Physics (MTP) and radiopharmaceutical production and development (RAPID) laboratories foresee a substantial increase in demand for PET radiopharmaceutical products in the coming years,
The procurement will provide a control environment inside the isolation space free of microbes, pyrogens and particulate matter. This will ensure all generator base radiopharmaceuticals synthesis (such as Ga-68) production is in accordance with current Code of Good Manufacturing Practice for Medicinal Products (cGMP), while offering an appropriate level of radiation protection to staff.
