Description
The Australian Antarctic Division, representing the Department of Agriculture, Water and the Environment, requires the provision of asbestos decontamination units for use in the Antarctic and at Macquarie Island.
The scope of this request includes:
• Design and supply one off asbestos decontamination unit for AAD Subantarctic (Macquarie Island) research station. The unit is to be installed within ten-foot shipping containers.
• Design and supply one off asbestos decontamination units for AAD Antarctic research stations. The unit is to be installed within twenty-foot equivalent unit (TEU) shipping containers.
• The possibility for a maximum of a further two Antarctic research station units required at an unspecified date within the next 5 years.
• Preserve & package the units suitable for road & sea transportation and deliver to Hobart.
• Documentation for the use of the units.
