Aerial Photography, DigitalElevation Modles, Digital Orthophotos and Associated Services

The Department of Environment and Resource Management (DERM) requires the services of suitably qualified contractors to offer for the provision of Aerial Photography, Digital Elevation Models (DEMs), Digital Orthophotos and associated services.

DERM is the lead agency in spatial imagery acquisition. A Spatial Imagery Acquisition Plan has been developed that identified a high priority need for Digital Elevation Models (DEMs) around Queensland’s populated coast, and high resolution imagery over urban centres and communities. An arrangement has been negotiated where Queensland Government Departments, Agencies and Local Governments subscribe funds towards their aerial imagery capture needs. In areas of common interest projects are then combined to effect savings in capture costs across the State and Local Governments. DERM will own and manage this arrangement. Negotiations with other Government Agencies will be undertaken directly between DERM and the agency involved.

A panel of suitably qualified organisations will be appointed to undertake these services under a
Pre-qualified Supplier Agreement. Firm or fixed pricing will not be required as the Department will obtain a minimum of three (3) quotes from successful organisations under the category that they require for each purchase under this arrangement. There is no guaranteed amount of work for any organisation under this arrangement.
