For the provision of Air Compressor Maintenance and Repair Services

Transport and Main Roads requires the establishment of a relationship for provision of air compressor maintenance and repair services to support the laboratory operations conducted at the TMR Herston (Brisbane) facility.

The services required are for scheduled maintenance of the main compressor four times a year and for the backup compressor once yearly, and repairs as needed. “The backup compressor Atlas Copco GA18) is situated on an elevated platform to provide flood immunity; the main compressor (Atlas Copco GA5FF) is situated at ground level. The compressors are connected in such a way as they can be isolated from the compressed air lines, allowing compressed air supply to be maintained during servicing activities.
Any outage of compressed air to the site will need to be negotiated, as it is a critical service to the operation of the facility.

The proposed timeframe is for a period of two years with a possibility of a six month extension.
