Broome Aboriginal Short Stay Accommodation

The Children and Community Services Ministerial Body through the Department for Child Protection and Family Support (the Department) is seeking responses from suitable Respondents for the provision of an Aboriginal Short Stay Accommodation service in the Broome area.

Consistent with the Delivering Community Services in Partnership (DCSP) Policy, July 2011 the Department intends to engage with the not-for-profit community service sector and Local Government Authorities for the provision of this service.

The Department will be seeking a suitable service provider to operate a facility to provide affordable, culturally appropriate and safe short stay accommodation for 80 - 100 Aboriginal people visiting Broome from across the Kimberley and other regions. The successful respondent will manage the purpose built 44 unit facility, currently under construction, and support Clients to access appropriate external services.

Two non-mandatory briefings to Respondents will be conducted as follows:
