Cleaning Services for Australian Bureau of Statistics

The requirement is for the provision of services relating to the cleaning of the ABS Central Office and ACT Regional Office to be provided and performed on a scheduled and regular basis.

The Services are to be performed in accordance with industry best practice standards and rendered by qualified, well-trained, skilled, and experienced personnel.

Services are to be performed on site at the ABS Central Office located at ABS House, 45 Benjamin Way, Belconnen ACT and the ACT Regional Office, currently located in the QBE building, Ainslie Ave, Canberra City ACT.

Tenderers should note that the cleaning Services to be provided at ABS House, Belconnen ACT, will be required to be performed in accordance with two separate Contracts. This is due to the floor space being split between "common areas" which are the responsibility of the building owners Managing Agent, and "tenant areas" which are the responsibility of the ABS. To facilitate this arrangement, the successful Contractor will be required to sign a separate Contract with the building owners Managing Agent for "common areas" substantially in the format provided at Attachment "A" to this RFT. All other cleaning Services for "tenant areas" will be through the ABS and in accordance with the draft Contract in Part IV to this RFT.
