Western Australia’s Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions (DBCA) has primary responsibility for managing the State’s national parks, marine parks, State forests and other reserves, for conserving and protecting native animals and plants, and for managing many aspects of the access to and use of the State’s wildlife and natural areas.

DBCA’s work is visible to visitors, customers, and stakeholders, which is why DBCA staff and joint management partners in public-facing roles are identifiable through the wearing of department-issued uniforms.

The approved DBCA uniform includes a selection of fit-for-purpose items that are either: ‘multi-purpose/operational’ wear that can be worn safely and comfortably in the field while still being appropriate to be worn in the office; and ‘office-only’ business clothing.

Prior to its introduction, DBCA’s uniform range was extensively wear tested by staff in a range of operational settings in local climates across the State. Given the level of planning, consultation and investment to date, DBCA is committed to a coordinated and consistent approach to the ongoing management and presentation of its uniform.

This Request specifies the requirement for the management and supply of uniforms suitable for DBCA staff and joint management partners in operational and office roles across Western Australia.
