Description

Australia has a bilateral tourism arrangement with the Chinese Government to allow Chinese tourists to undertake leisure travel in groups to Australia. This is known as the Approved Destination Status (ADS) scheme. Under this scheme, Inbound Tour Operators (ITOs) and Tour Guides (TGs) must be approved by Austrade to deliver ADS scheme tour services. They are required to operate in accordance with the ADS Code of Business Standards and Ethics (the Code), to ensure the ADS business is conducted to a high professional standard of service and accountability and to maintain a responsible and ethical approach in all matters.

The successful Tenderer will, as a minimum, establish, implement and manage a system to undertake compliance monitoring of the activities of ADS approved ITOs and TGs, including the investigation of complaints about the operation of the scheme.

Further information about the requirements are included in the Specification and Statement of Requirements.
