Description

The Single Disposal Organisation in Defence is responsible for the disposal of a range of assets when they become surplus to requirement, obsolete or beyond economic repair.

The objective of this approach to market is to establish a standing offer panel, under which suitable service providers may be engaged to provide disposal services.
The Services for this panel are divided into 3 (three) Service Categories.
Tenderers may tender to provide Services in any one or more Service Categories. The three Service Categories are:
a. Service Category A - General Scrapping and Disposal and Related Services (miscellaneous waste, including scrap bins);
b. Service Category B – Disposal of Major Platforms and Fleets and Related Services (especially Ships, Aircraft and Land Vehicles); and
c. Service Category C – Disposal of Explosive Ordnance and Related Services.
Tenderers will only be considered for those Service Categories against which they have provided a tender. Tenderers may be selected for none, some or all Service Categories in respect of which they have tendered. Tenderers will not be eligible to provide Services for any Service Category in respect of which they have not been selected as a successful tenderer.
