Description

The primary business of the Forest Products Commission (FPC, the Customer) is the sustainable management and commercial harvesting of the State’s timber assets. The timber resources include native and plantation timber species which are located across the south-west and rangeland regions of Western Australia (WA). The FPC falls within the portfolio of the Minister for Forestry.

Delivery notes (Dnotes) are required to be completed for each load of forest products sold by the FPC, capturing associated harvest and haulage, product type and delivery information. Dnote information is used to support operational management and to generate transaction data. Dnotes are typically completed prior to a load leaving a harvest site and must be produced on demand by an FPC officer. The intended customer must confirm acceptance of each load of forest product by signing off on each Dnote.

Currently, approximately 36,000 paper Dnotes are completed each year. Presently, these Dnotes are entered manually into the FPC’s Delivery and Billing (DAB) system.

This Request for Proposal (Request) is to replace FPC’s manual Dnote process with a cloud based off-the-shelf Electronic Delivery Note (EDN) Mobile Application and Portal
