Maintenance of pre-existing firebreaks at Mogumber Aboriginal Lands Trust Reserve 16833

The Department of Planning, Lands and Heritage (the Department) has statewide responsibility for the planning for future communities and management of Crown Land. The Department plays a vital role in improving the quality of life of all Western Australians. The Department undertakes key activities relating to land use planning, the land supply chain, land administration and asset management, all aspects of heritage, and Aboriginal lands and heritage. Further information on the Department is available at www.dplh.wa.gov.au Mogumber Settlement (Mogumber) is located near Moora on Aboriginal Land Estate Reserve 16833 comprising various land parcels with the purpose being ‘use and benefit of the Aboriginal inhabitants’ and a Management Order to the Aboriginal Lands Trust. The Reserve comprises an area of 5,000 hectares (ha) and includes areas comprising of the Heritage Precinct, burial areas, agricultural areas, pine plantation areas, natural vegetation and an Aboriginal Cemetery. Most of the Reserve is a registered site under the Aboriginal Heritage Act 1972. This Request is for the services of an experienced bushfire mitigation provider for maintenance of pre-existing firebreaks, at specific locations on the Reserve.
