Description

The Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development (DPIRD), is seeking to expand its technical capacity for toxicology and food integrity services within the DPIRD Diagnostic Laboratory Services through the acquisition of a triple quadrupole mass spectrometer (MS) coupled to a Liquid Chromatography (LC) system. The LCMS will be used for analysis of veterinary chemicals (e.g. antibiotics, ionophores, anthelmintics), pesticides (e.g. organochlorides, rodenticides) and environmental pollutants (e.g. in extracts from a variety of complex biological matrices (e.g. liver, muscle, feeds) at residue levels. A central role of the system will be the measurement of biotoxins in aquaculture products as required by the Western Australia Shellfish Quality Assurance Program Operations Manual 2017 Edition 6.

A refurbished LC and or MS will be considered provided that the model is current (less than 2 years old is preferred), that full details on refurbishment with performance verification reports are provided and that the instrument is covered by normal warranty.
