Description

A whole-of-government panel for the provision of Desktop Personal Computers (PCs), Mobile PCs, Virtual Desktop Devices (VDDs), Monitors, Associated Services (including technical support, asset tagging, pre-delivery configuration, pre-delivery imagining, sanitisation and disposal services), Installation Services (including installations with and without data transfer, floor walking and support and decommissioning services), Servers and Server Racks.

It is mandatory for Non-Corporate Commonwealth Entities (NCCEs) subject to the Public Governance, Performance and Accountability Act 2013 (Cth) (PGPA Act) to source their desktop computers and related equipment, includes Desktop PCs, Mobile PCs, VDDs and Monitors (collectively the Mandatory Categories), from the ICT Hardware Panel. The Associated Services, Installation Services, Servers and Server Racks (collectively the Non-Mandatory Categories) are optional for NCCEs to source using the ICT Hardware Panel.

The ICT Hardware Panel is entirely optional for Corporate Commonwealth Entities (CCEs) subject to the PGPA Act, or any other body governed by the Governor-General or a Minister of the Commonwealth or any other body over which the Commonwealth exercises control. Furthermore, the panel is made available to Australian State and Territory Governments (including bodies governed by either a State Governor, a Minister of a State or Territory or over which a State or Territory exercises control); where they elect to use the arrangement.

The ICT Hardware Panel will replace the Standing Offer Notice (SON335550) – Head Agreement for the Provision of Certain Desktop Hardware and Associated Services to Whole-of-Government (commonly referred to as the Whole-of-Government Desktop Hardware and Associated Services Panel or the Desktop Hardware Panel).

A transitional period of up until 30 September 2019 was enacted to facilitate the launch of the Hardware Marketplace (SON3541738).
