Description
Under Part 8 of the Planning and Development Act 2005 (the Act), the WAPC, with the approval of the Minister for Planning and Governor, has established Improvement Plan No.36 (gazetted October 2011). Improvement Plan No.36 provides the WAPC with a wide range of powers to enable delivery of Stirling City Centre. Under recent amendments to the Act, these powers are strengthened further through the potential application of an Improvement Scheme. The Stirling Alliance has resolved to use an Improvement Scheme as the statutory mechanism for delivery of Stirling City Centre, and therefore requires the services of a consultant to prepare a clear, efficient and legally binding Improvement Scheme for Stirling City Centre in accordance with the Town Planning Regulations (1967).
