Supply, Installation and Commissioning of a Liquid-Chromatograph/Tandem Mass Spectrometer (LC-MS) and Optional Support, Service and Maintenance

The Chemistry Centre (WA) requires the supply, delivery, installation and commissioning of one liquid-chromatograph/tandem mass spectrometer (LC-MS). The LC-MS is required to give the Customer the continued capability and enhanced capacity for the services delivered to the State’s justice and coronial systems, with the key analytical service being to provide evidence of drugs in samples related to road traffic, criminal and coronial investigations. The LC-MS is to be utilised within the Forensic Toxicology section and is required to be suitable for the identification and quantitation of trace amount of illicit and/or pharmaceutical substances from a range of sample matrices, but in particular tetrahydrocannabinol, methylamphetamine and methylenedioxymethamphetamine (MDMA) in oral fluid samples.
