Networking Products and Services - Tranche 1

The Queensland Government is seeking Proposals for the supply of Networking Products and Services by Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM's) and Australian Master Distributors (AMD's), where the OEM has no direct Australian presence. It includes Hardware, Software, Maintenance and Support Services and Ancillary Services.

Depending on requirements these goods / services specifically include:

Networking Hardware
Equipment for data centres, PANs, LANs, MANs, WANs and WLANs including:

• Switches (Including multi-layer switches and network switches), Routers, Bridges, Bridge Routers, Link-Load-Balancers, Gateways, Repeaters, Protocol Converters, Firewalls (including Web Application Firewalls), Network Access Control. Network Address Translators, Multiplexers, Wireless Network Interface Controllers, Line Drivers, Authentication Servers, Wireless Access Point devices.
• Warranty, Maintenance and Support Services for Networking Hardware.

Networking Software
Software relating to the following networking functions:

• Provisioning and Configuration, Mapping or Discovery, Monitoring, Network Optimisation, Root Cause Analysis and other Fault-Finding, Administration, Security, Network Function Virtualisation, Micro-Segmentation, Software Defined Networking, Fabric-Defined Networking, Network Management, Firewalls.
• Maintenance and Support Services for Networking Software.
• Ancillary services.

It does not include:

• Cabling and similar site works are excluded from this ITO. It is expected that Agencies will have their own arrangements which satisfy the Queensland Procurement Policy in relation to supporting local and/or indigenous businesses.
• Voice and Data Carriage - There is a WoG arrangement in place for the provision of voice and data carriage services.
• Security devices and software except where they relate directly to securing the network.
