Description

The Department of Finance’s Commissioner of State Revenue (RevenueWA) requires a panel of appropriately skilled and experienced Valuers and experts to provide timely and quality valuation advice.

The required Services are divided into the following categories:

  1. Category A – Real Property Valuers

  2. Category B – Mining Tenements Valuers

  3. Category C – Infrastructure Assets Valuers

  4. Category D – Plant and Equipment Valuers

  5. Category E – Business Assets Valuers

The Respondent may nominate one or more categories it wishes to provide Services for.

RevenueWA is responsible for the administration of the Duties Act 2008 (WA) (Duties Act) under which duty is imposed on transactions involving various types of dutiable property. This includes land, mining tenements, rights, and certain business assets. In many cases duty is payable on the value of the dutiable property that is the subject of the transaction, and the Commissioner must rely on professional service providers with relevant expertise to determine the value of the dutiable property. The advice must be of a standard and quality (whether in written form or as an expert witness) that can be relied on by the Commissioner in support of assessments which are disputed by the taxpayers, which may include proceedings before the State Administrative Tribunal and any higher court.
